Cleopatra and the Society of Architects: Deluxe Edition

Designed by Bruno Cathala and Ludovic Maublanc, Cleopatra and the Society of Architects is a fun and engaging family game that includes a true, three-dimensional palace that players compete to build. Players strive to become the wealthiest of Cleopatra’s architects by constructing the most magnificent and valuable parts of her palace. Players, however, will be tempted to trade in materials of dubious origins in order to build faster. While these corrupt practices might allow an architect to stay a step ahead of the rest, they come with a high price: the cursed Corruption Amulets honoring Sobek, the Crocodile-god. When Cleopatra finally get into her new palace, at the end of the game, will punish the most corrupted architects (the ones with the most amulets) deprive them of riches or giving them as a sacrifice to her Crocodile! The most wealthiest architect from among those still alive will be declared the winner. This new edition will have a whole new graphic by the talented Miguel Coimbra and a free-standing, totally 3D palace. In addition of a new graphic design, it will have a new rulebook updated by the designers for major simplicity and fluidity: The combination of Resource card to discard in order to build the pieces of the Palace have been reworked. The gains from the building of the Palace’s pieces have been recalculated The consequences of corruption have been reviewed. The Great Priest is no longer activated in the same way The number of players passed from 3-5 to 2-4. In this expansion set for "Cleopatra and the Society of Architects", you will find three new expansions to spice up your game. In "The Whims of Cleopatra", player will receive a favor if they build the section of the Palace their capricious Queen mostly desires in that moment. In "The Cult of Sobek", players can devote their Sanctuaries to Sobek, the fierce Crocodile God, to get rid of some of their Corruption Amulets at the enf of the game. If you play it with "The Sobek Variant", each of your Sobek sanctuary will ensure a different, powerful effect against your opponents.
